GIANT Collaborative Art Project Continues...

Our art project is "blooming" right before our very eyes.  It is so fun to see all ages, boys and girls, men and women, engaged in creating art together...out of recycled materials!  All of the individual creations that people are making will come together in an art installation that will be unveiled at Easter.  Although unsure of the exact final product, we are all trusting in the process, and contributing our part to the greater whole.

Get involved!  This is a community project.  We need as many hands as possible!

We'll be getting together again on Sunday, March 18th at around 11:30am.  There is a 10am service at The Block.  You are welcome to join us for that too.  We will get together to create right afterwards.  Everyone is welcome!

What: Community art project!...you just need to be able to operate a pair of scissors.
Who: Everyone welcome!  All ages.
When: Sunday, March 18th at 11:30am
Where: The Block - part of Lakeside Church Campus
755 Oak Avenue Parkway
Folsom, CA 95630
Why?: Because it's fun!

Open Studio Meeting Again This Saturday, February 25th - Be A Part of Something BIG!!!

Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated Open Studio's first year in existence as a community of creatives!    We had so much fun last weekend that we are getting together again this Saturday, February 25th from 12-3pm.

Open Studio Artists Working on Our Collaborative Project
You can work on your own creative projects or be a part of our GIANT, on-going, collaborative art project that will be fully unveiled at Easter.  We have A LOT of art to do and we need your help!  Come be a part of something big, and beautiful, and meet great people in the meantime; all skill levels and ages.  (Adult  supervision for small children, please.)

All you need to be able to do is operate a pair of scissors...

Come to Open Studio this weekend for more details, wear comfortable clothes that can get messy and bring pairs of scissors if you have 'em, and friends, family, neighbors, enemies...the more the merrier!

Be A Part of Something Big...

Artichoke by Lisa Magruder
February 2012 Open Studio is a Big Deal!

Why?

First of all, because it's our first anniversary.  (Woohoo!)

Second of all, because we are working on a big project!  I'll give you some hints - it incorporates recycling, creating, and collaboration.  It is something that needs a lot of hands and will continue over the next few months...the final product will be unveiled at Easter!  Come be a part of something big, and beautiful, and meet awesome people in the meantime.  All skill levels and ages welcome.  (Adult supervision for small children, please.)

Come to Open Studio this weekend for more details, and bring as many plastic bottles as you can find!

As always, you are welcome to work on your own creative projects at Open Studio whatever they may be, but you are also welcome to join us in what will prove to be an awesome collaborative project.
